Privacy Policy

Nepali Mudra is a portfolio tracker for the Nepal Stock Exchange, published by Sikne. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and how you remove it.
What we collect
- Google account details — your email address, name and profile picture, only if you choose to sign in. Sign-in exists so your data can sync across your devices. It is optional; the app works without an account.
- Your ledger — the portfolios, transactions, watchlist items and price alerts you enter. This is data you create, not data we observe.
- Device notification token — if you set a price alert, so the notification can reach your phone.
- Usage analytics — which screens you open and which actions you take, such as adding a transaction or opening the floorsheet. We collect this whether or not you sign in, tied to a random identifier created when you install the app. If you are signed in it is also attributed to your account. We use it only to see which parts of the app people rely on, so we know what to improve.
- Diagnostics and advertising identifiers — crash reports and standard identifiers used by Google Play services and Google AdMob, which serves the ads in the app.
What we do not collect
- We never ask for, and never store, your broker, TMS or Mero Share credentials. Nepali Mudra cannot place trades and has no connection to your broker account. The app can open your broker's own TMS portal or Mero Share in a browser window for convenience; anything you type there goes directly to that provider, and we neither see nor store it.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, precise location, SMS or call logs.
Why we collect it
- To sync your portfolios and transactions between your devices.
- To evaluate your price alerts on our servers and notify you when they fire, including while the app is closed.
- To fix crashes and keep the app working.
- To understand which features people actually use, so we know what to improve.
- To show advertising, which pays for the servers.
Where it is stored
Your ledger is stored on your device so the app works offline. If you sign in, a copy is also stored on our servers so it can reach your other devices. Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share only what is necessary with the service providers that run the app: Google (sign-in, cloud hosting, crash reporting, push notifications) and Google AdMob (advertising). Each processes data under its own terms. We may disclose data if required by law.
Market data
Share prices, indices and company information come from published NEPSE market data. This is public information and is not linked to you.
How long we keep it
Your synced data is kept for as long as your account exists. Delete your account and it is removed from our servers, ordinarily within 30 days. Data stored only on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.
Your choices
- Use the app without signing in — your ledger stays on your device, and only market data requests and anonymous usage analytics leave it.
- Turn off notifications in your phone's settings at any time.
- Delete your account and all synced data — see Delete your account.
- Request a copy of your data by emailing us.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update this page and the date above, and note it in the app.
